About the preceptor Nicole is looking for:
Located near Odenton, MD.
My name is Nicole Budd I am inquiring about potential practicum placements. I am currently in a FNP program with Chamberlain University. I started the program in October of 2023 and am set to graduate in December of 2025. I am set to begin clinicals in March of 2025. I currently need 3 more clinical sites in May 2025, September 2025, and October 2025. The clinicals are 8-week sessions comprising of 125 clinical hours to be completed within that timeframe (about 16 hours per week). Just a little bit about myself, I have been a nurse for about 6 years. I graduated from Salisbury University, on the Eastern shore of Maryland, in December of 2018 with my BSN. Since then, I have worked on a progressive care unit, trauma ICU, and outpatient surgery. I decided to go back to school for my FNP because I felt like there was more I could do with my nursing career and I wanted a way to foster that growth. I am very interested in women's health and holistically treating patients. I know it is incredibly difficult in this age of healthcare to advocate for bettering one's health with an abundance of education about healthy nutrition and physical activity, but I want to try to promote improving a patient's well-being in a proactive manner instead of reactively treating chronic health problems with medications. I truly want to strive for that to be my goal in my future practice.
